FAQs

The portal allows quick access to appointment times in addition to letting you access forms that need to be filled out before we can start a treatment. If you are having trouble navigating it, feel free to call or text Taug directly, he will get back to you as soon as he can to help get it sorted out.

I’m having trouble with the appointment portal, is there another way to schedule?

Are there bathroom facilities available at the office?

2

My office trailer does not have a bathroom in it. I have access to bathrooms in the adjacent building, just ask for the keycard to get in the door..

Do you offer Dry Needling?

3

Yes, Dry Needling, or trigger point needling, refers to an Acupuncture technique called Ah Shi needling. It was first described around 1300 years ago and is a part of every Acupuncturists training. The vast majority of Acupuncture points, located thousands of years ago, correspond to modern trigger points, described in today’s Western medical texts. Needling them can be incredibly effective for muscular pain syndromes, especially when utilized with combinations of points in other parts of the body.

What should I wear to a treatment?

4

Dress comfortably. Loose fitting clothes are preferred. If necessary, I will have patients remove certain articles of clothing and lie under a sheet, as you would encounter in receiving a massage. Patient modesty and privacy are always my top priority. One of the strengths of Chinese Medicine is that I can treat problems without needing to access the whole body. Most major points are located from the knees to the toes and elbows to fingers. If you have specific concerns, please reach out before you come in.

Does Acupuncture hurt?

Acupuncture needles are very small, they are also solid, where a needle used for giving shots is a hollow tube with a beveled tip that cuts the skin as it is inserted. The shape allows Acupuncture needles to slip between the tissues, instead of cutting a hole like a hypodermic needle. The sensation should feel achy and dull, not sharp or burning, and I tailor needle size to patient constitution so that even very sensative patients can have a comfortable experience.
